Your “Busy” Means Nothing To Me.

I recognize the fact that I talk about this subject a lot.
I make no apologies for it. It is a treatable epidemic and it needs to stop with you and me.

No one is ever going to impress me with their busy. If I ask you, “how are you today?“
And you answer, “great but busy.“
My response to you is going to simply be, “I’m sorry.”

Busy doesn’t mean you're spending a lot of time doing important things. It’s possible to spend an entire day being busy answering emails, sending text messages, or stalking old classmates on Facebook.

Busy can never be the goal.
My goal is exactly the opposite.
I need to be un-busy enough to have the space for what is important. What is life-changing. What is world-changing.

So do what you have to do.
Start saying “no” more often.
Learn to manage your time.
Learn to manage your energy.
Waste time profitably (more on that next week).

Stop using “busy” as an excuse.

Or worse — wearing it as a badge.
