Answers and Questions

Leaders have all the answers.

Leaders need to show the way.
Our vision of leadership is often that of a pith-helmet wearing explorer, or a military general standing at the head of the battalion. Lead the way. Show the world (or at least your team) your brilliance.

You are the leader.

You can navigate the most difficult waters.
You have the background, the knowledge, and the people power to make it rain.

That’s most people’s vision of leadership.

But I’ve found this is not the reality of leadership.
Or the reality of leaders.

Leadership is much more about learning.

Great leaders don't actually know all of the answers.
Or even most of them.

But great leaders do know how to ask the right questions.
