Selling Big Mouth Billy Bass

Consumerism always starts with this question: “What does the world think it needs?”

Followed quickly by the question: “What will the world pay for?”

The problem with this is that the world needs everything and would pay for most things — even if it kills them or they look like idiots. Crass consumerism is the reason why we have products like 2000 calorie hamburgers, Crocs, and the Big Mouth Billy Bass.

The world did not know it needed an iPhone until the world had an iPhone.

There are better questions to ask.

What are the things you’ve experienced, learned, and overcome?
What makes you, you?
Who are the people who’ve made all the difference in your life?

You have a unique, world-changing platform for influence. Find your platform. Then look for a product.

Somebody somewhere will always have a Big Mouth Billy Bass for sale.

Anybody can do that.

And you might actually change the world.
