This will post while we’re on an airplane somewhere far over the North Sea.  We’re on our way home from another three-week stint in SouthEast Asia.

As I reflect on our time here, I’m grateful to get to do this kind of work. It’s a privilege.

That said, I’m also ready for routine again.

It’s very difficult to get a routine when only in one place three to four days at a time. It’s challenging.

The new and novel is a privilege. It’s something beautiful.  I love the fact that I have the opportunity to eat spicy noodles for breakfast in Cambodia and get a Thai foot massage in Yangon.  We work with some of the most amazing people on the planet.

It’s inspiring.

But after inspiration comes the work.  A daily routine. It may be boring.

I need boring.

Increased boredom means increased productivity.  It means taking everything that’s been inspiring and turning it into something useful. Something valuable.  Something beautiful.

And I’m ready for that.
