Fishing with Concussion Grenades

There is a lot on my desk this week that needs to happen. Deadlines. Projects to finish. Deliverables to deliver.

It would be easy to neglect habits and systems and to focus only on the deliverables.

That would be a huge mistake.

If I am doing things right, I have established an ecosystem. A series of habits, rituals, and systems optimized to goals and objectives.

Individual tasks cannot be allowed to sabotage an entire system.

That’s like fishing with concussion grenades.

It’s possible to catch a lot of fish in a short period of time.

But there’s no ecosystem left for the future.

Develop and care for your personal ecosystem (habits, rituals, systems). It’s a wise and necessary investment in your longterm happiness, as well as productivity.
