hitting play

Pause.

Inevitably, I push that button on the blogs I write. And I've had several over the years, Most of these are now in the land of Internet archives. Although, you can still read about adventures in Mongolia, if that interests you.

I hit pause on this blog about a year ago. I needed to figure out what to do with the thing. I've decided there's still value here. We're moving forward. No archiving. Not yet.

Unplug.

Over the past month I've had this blog and website completely unplugged, reconfigured, re-wired. I've dusted out the inside, replaced a few worn curcuits, and rearranged the domain.

This is now home to my personal blog, writing/photography portfolios, thinking, creative work, and whatever else I decide will land here. (Insiders secret: I'm actively working on a novel. Novels, actually. That process will be talked about here, when appropriate.)

Not entirely sure if some of my favorite advice from Ann Lamott works for blogs as well as it does for people (and elctronics).

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes. Including you.
— Anne Lamott

But I do know this blog has been unplugged for awhile. So let's give it a whirl.

Play.

Today I'm plugging it in, turning on the power switch, and hitting play.

Follow me, if you're interested. I'll do my best to make it worth your while.
